I do applaud the government for upholding ethical or moral values. However, what is the cost of upholding these principles? They have to weigh the pros and cons of the situation. There is too much negative publicity against casinos by other cause oriented groups. In my own personal opinion I think the government just wants to go against online gambling because it could not be taxed. It is mostly owned by foreign companies. Rather than it draining their people’s income they would rather their citizens spend it in something else that is taxable by the government.
