Where we all belong

Purity

Filed under: Religion Tips + More — admin at 8:44 am on Wednesday, December 31, 2008

Is being purified only for the men of the cloth? Well let’s see what the Bible says. In the book of 2Samuel David sang a song to the Lord. He says at verse 25 The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight. What a wonderful phrase, and heartfelt passage, to be able to sing about the good things the Lord has bless you with. It is also good to ask for forgiveness, in the book of Psalm 51:10 it says Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Now in Psalm 199:9 it says How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from you commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, O Lord; teach me your decrees. In the book of Isaiah 52:11 it says Depart, Depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the vessels of the Lord. But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

In the book of Matthew 5:8 it says Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. It says in the book of 1Timothy 5:22 it says Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses. The sins of some are obvious, reaching the place of judgement ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not cannot be hidden.

Now look in the book of Hebrews 13:4 it says Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Now look at what John wrote in 1John 3:1 it says How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear Friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

In the book of Titus 2:11 it says For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say NO to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hopethe glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Now in the book of 1John 1:8 it says If we claim to be without sins, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

In the book of 2Corinthians 6:3 it says We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will now be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness, in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

In conclusion look at the book of Philippians 4:8 it says Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirableif anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in meput it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

The Greatest Love Of All

Filed under: Religion Tips + More — admin at 7:06 am on Wednesday, December 31, 2008

Have you ever wondered why we still exist? When Adam and Eve were instructed by

God that they may eat of all the fruits in the garden of Eden except the forbidden

fruit, God had told them that you will surely die. When they committed sin, God

could have killed them instantly and He could have created a new batch of humans

to replace them.

Yet, God had allowed them to live and have children that had filled this world,

though death came upon all of us in the form of old age, sickness, accidents,

violence, as victim of calamities and all forms of evil in this world including

self destruction.

Is it possible that God could not afford to loose us? Is it really possible that

God loved the human race so much that He devised a plan to give us hope and a

chance to live?

In the human society today, when one of us commit a grievous mistake or a crime,

that person has to pay for it either by imprisonment and or pay a fine. In some

circumstances, the civilized world may even impose capital punishment - death.

But why the imprisonment and or a fine? It is because our human society allows

that offender to realize his or her mistake and to change for the better. Of

course, most hardened criminals are either punished with either lifetime

imprisonment or death.

If human governments can afford to give offenders the chance to change their

characters for the better and allow them to live either by parole or by completing

the sentences that the offenders receive, how much more for God.

If we try to examine God’s own words - the Holy Scriptures which is also called

the Holy Bible - it is evident in John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world that He

gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but

have everlasting life.

Wow! What a statement. He really loves the human race so much that He sent His

only Son - Jesus in our place! The solution to our sentence of death is to

believe in Jesus that we may have hope and a chance to live forever.

As Christians, we know that we may still taste death. Yet if we only believe in

Christ as our redeemer, we have the hope to live again and live forever when He

comes to take us home. He did not sent Jesus to die in exchange for one man only

but for the whole human race.

Isn’t God’s love the greatest love of all then?

A Corvallis Oregon lawfirm won from a advocate in Birmingham Alabama

For example it would not be illegal to consider criteria for a particular role in a movie that has a disparate impact on age if the part calls for someone of a particular age. The BFOQ defense states that it is not unlawful for an employer to take adverse employment actions otherwise prohibited by the ADEA where age is a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the particular business. As long as the adverse action is based on reasonable factors other than age. A lawyer from Uden won from a in Fairfield California It then used those totals to decide who to lay off. The Supreme Court ruled that if an employer seeks to rely on that defense. Specifically the jury found that although the plaintiffs did not prove that Knolls intentionally discriminated against them they did prove that Knolls method of deciding who to lay off disproportionately harmed older workers. The company had its supervisors rate their subordinates based on their performance flexibility and critical skills. The Supreme Court has previously recognized that the employer has the burden to establish the BFOQ affirmative defense. Thirty of the 52 salaried employees the company laid off were at least 42 years old. At the trial a jury found Knolls had violated the ADEA because its layoff procedure had a disparate impact based on age. It has the burden to prove that its decision was based on a reasonable factor other than age. The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit initially affirmed the jurys findings but after the United States Supreme Court asked it to reconsider the Second Circuit reversed itself and ruled in favor of Knolls. In that case Meacham versus Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory the Supreme Court interpreted a provision of the ADEA that permits an employer to take an adverse employment action against an employee. In other words the ADEA permits employers to discriminate based on age considering age is legitimately necessary under the circumstances. In reaching its conclusion that the employer has the burden to prove the reasonable factors other than age defense the Supreme Court looked at another provision of the ADEA the bona fide occupational qualification defense. Twenty-eight of those 20 employees sued under the ADEA claiming Knolls illegally fired them because of their age. Even if the employment action is otherwise prohibited by the ADEA. The Supreme Court then agreed to hear the case and eventually reversed the Second Circuit and reinstated the jurys finding that Knolls policy unlawfully discriminated because of age. In Meacham Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory was planning to lay off a number of employees. Knolls totaled those scores and gave the employees additional points based on their years of service.

Jesus, Master Internet Marketer

Filed under: Religion Tips + More — admin at 4:57 am on Monday, December 29, 2008

Now I know what you are thinking. Jesus hasn’t physically walked the earth since the first century A.D. and the internet wasn’t invented until the 20th century, let alone internet marketing, so how could Jesus have been a master internet marketer? Ok, ok, I am speculating a little bit. But if Jesus was physically here now He would have been a master internet marketer! Consider:

  • Jesus had a mission’s statement or a goal
  • Jesus was focused
  • Jesus used freebies
  • Jesus had an affiliate program
  • Jesus used viral marketing
  • Jesus used awesome sale’s copy

1 Jesus had a mission’s statement or goal

We read in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man (Jesus) is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Is that a mission’s statement or what? Jesus knew exactly what His purpose on this earth was for. He
spent His entire adult life working to achieve that goal. It is imperative for an internet marketer to know exactly what he hopes to accomplish. Having a mission or a goal compels you to establish a direction or a plan to follow. Jesus did this. It was His plan to go to the cross to die for the sins of mankind. That was the purpose of His miracles, His teachings, and His presentation to the Jewish people as their Messiah.

Now your goal certainly won’t be as lofty as that; nevertheless, you must still have a plan. For example, what if your goal was to have more free time with your family? How would you accomplish this? You certainly could not work for some other employer because they don’t care about your wife and kids. They are concerned about what you can do for them. So you have to become self-employed! Now you must calculate how much money do you need to replace your income to ensure that your bills are being paid. Then you must decide what
is the best way to do that. Do I sell ebooks online, software, start a membership site, and etc. There are many different options that you can choose.

    2. Jesus was focused

Everything that Jesus said and did was for the above stated mission-to redeem mankind. He did not allow Himself to become distracted. In Luke 9:51 it is recorded, “And it came to pass, when the time was come that He (Jesus) should be received up, He steadfastly set His face to Jerusalem.” Remember, Christ was going to the cross to die a horrible death for you and me, and even though it wasn’t something that you or I might look forward to, He was focused! Why, because He saw past the death, pain, and agony, He saw our redemption. When Christ sat in the company of sinners, He didn’t see them as sinners, but as saints!

It is easy to get distracted! A friend calls, unexpected guests come over for a visit, and before you know it, the time that you set aside for internet marketing is already gone! You must remain focused. Look past the agonizing hours of reading and writing emails. Look past the tedious task of building your web site. Look past the exhausting hours of locating link partners. And look forward to the time that you will have with your family and the freedom to do whatever you desire to do!

    3. Jesus used freebies

The freebies that Jesus used were His miracles. He did not use them boastfully, but for the purpose of confirming who He was and that His message and work was of His Father. These miracles were not some cheap hocus-pocus act, but were very valuable. He fed crowds of 5,000 plus when no one had any food, but a young lad who brought his lunch to hear Jesus teach. He gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, made the lame to walk again, and even raised the dead. No, these were not cheap giveme’s, but valuable and many times necessary gifts!

Likewise, a master internet marketer will offer his subscribers and potential customers quality gifts that they can use. Ebooks, software, reports, and etc. I even have a friend who offers a free professional autoresponder service. The freebies offered should not be cheap out-of-date material, but valuable wealth-earning items. Remember, the quality of the freebie represent and confirms the quality of your message and product!

    4. Jesus had an affiliate program

What do you mean Jesus had an affiliate program? What I mean is that Christ didn’t do all the work. He didn’t do all the teaching and all the preaching, nor all the miracles. At first He had ordained twelve men to spread His word and then seventy more. Jesus provided His affiliates with tools. He empowered
them to do miracles and to cast out demons in His name. He also offered in-
centives or rewards to them for faithfulness. Looking through the New Testament
there are five(5) crowns that can be won by His followers.

The same is true with exceptional Internet Marketers today. They realize that they can accomplish more and earn more money by having an affiliate program. The exceptional affiliate programs offer banners, text links, sample emails, and etc. to aid the affiliate. The exceptional netrepreneurs will offer incentives or rewards to their top performing affiliates!

    5. Jesus used viral marketing.

After Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection He gave a commission to His disciples that they were to go throughout the world teaching, preaching, and baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Not only were they to win the unbeliever, but they were to teach them to do just the same!

The most effective way to reach a great number of people is to tell a first group and to have them pass the message on down the line, and so on, and so on. You may not be able to reach 1 million on your own, but you can reach 100, and they can reach 10,000, and then they can reach 1 million.

    6. Jesus used awesome sale’s copy

Jesus used awesome sale’s copy when He taught. He frequently used parables which are nothing more than simple earthly stories with heavenly meanings. The stories were so simple that even a child could understand them. Not everyone accepted Jesus’ teachings, but all understood to some degree what He was saying. Jesus always brought His hearers to a decision. Jesus gave His hearers quality content and not fluff. What the hearer decided about what he had heard determined the destiny of his eternal soul.

The master internet marketer will use stories and testimonies in his sale’s copy. He will illustrate how the product or service that he is promoting will benefit the customer and he will bring them to a decision whether to buy or not to buy. He doesn’t leave them hanging wondering what to do next. He offers them quality so that he will have repeat business.

    Summary

Jesus had the attributes of a master internet marketer even though He did not own a computer, nor have access to the internet. Have you incorporated these 6 qualities into your online business? If not, do so today and watch your subscriber lists grow and your sales increase.

  • Dear God - Most of Us Need to Talk to You About the Few of Us Who are Scaring All of Us

Filed under: Religion Tips + More — admin at 10:17 pm on Saturday, December 27, 2008

    Goodmorning God. We gotta talk.

Are you aware of what is going on down here? I mean really, we need some help and I thought it better to email you than just get down on my knees and pray. You’ve seen me pray over the years, alone in that closet under the eaves in my college dorm at first, and then those sterile little “prayer closets.” I specifically remember asking that you guide me to do this and that right thing, and wow, after all these years, you’re idea of guiding and mine were pretty darn far apart. But okay, okay, I defer to letting things unfold as they will and give you the benefit of the doubt. I read that “Footsteps in the Sand” thing and still think that it’s possible the other set of prints disappeared, not because you were carrying me, but because you went to the store when I started to tell you how I was feeling.

At any rate, I thought email might be faster and you’d have copy as would I for future reference. So back to my question. Are you aware of what’s going on here? Was there some hurricane that re-wiped out the oil rigs that I missed, or did someone turn off the flow of oil, because gas keeps going up a dime a day around here! I can’t get it out of my head that we’re being “gassed” so to speak by those who do such things. I’m feeling that somehow the Czar is using his time for personal gain and there is no way I am ever going to really know what’s going on, so could you help us find out and get us back to a better time. The Czar and Company flying around in Big Bird One scarf up more resources in one trip than me and all my friends combined have used since arriving on the planet. I have done a lot of reading about the Czar and family and do you really think so few should get to take so much from so many over the years? What’s with that anyhow…could you please help us out here.

Shhhhhhhhhhh…I have another problem we need help with but I can’t say it too loudly. I feel like just talking to you is getting me, well, monitored. I think that someone is watching to see if I use words like “Czar” or “Big Bird One” and , well have you seen those pictures from Abu Gareb! ‘As long as I mentioned that, would you please tell those people that we aren’t like that and all my friends want Iraqis and Iranians to just enjoy life too and be left alone. In our wildest dreams we would never treat people like that. Hey and all my friends also think that Palestinians deserve a home just like anyone else. Can’t those guys check their DNA and find out they are all related or something and stop all that shit? Now of course, we don’t want them trying to make us see the world their way and blow us up if we don’t, and we will try to stop the jerks on our side of the religious world from thinking they have to convert you guys, but honest, all the real people I know think you are getting hosed for reasons other than the reasons given, which we can’t know either. I can’t sleep well when I see the pictures of your children and women dead in the name of liberation and freedom for, well, your dead family members. Makes no sense does it? Anyhow, Email is much different than a prayer closet, and I wanted to be sure you got this and I can request a return receipt.

Anyway, back to the shhhhh stuff. Can you help us turn off all the cameras? Man, I feel like I am in the old Russia or Germany of days not long gone by. And what’s with those Brits.? They seem to love that camera stuff and I have heard they even want a way to track cars everywhere they go. I know you didn’t give us shit for brains, but I have to ask…did you? I read a book in high school by Orwell, and now the book isn’t so funny or weird to me. I am feeling like some must have felt a few years before I was born, when some Czar types kept doing things for the “good of the people” and well, you know how that all unfolded. I still need help understanding how so many of us allow so few of us to do so much evil to most of us for so long before most of us tell the few of us to leave us alone and pay back what you took.

Does that make sense? I think that if only 35% of the people even like the few of us that rule the most of us, there should be a “step down” law or something, don’t you think? Otherwise it does feel like most of us are being told what to think and do by the few of us, who most of the rest of the us don’t even like anymore, if we ever did. Does that make sense? So can you please help us with the camera and shhhhhhhhhhhh stuff so we can get back to feeling safe again? Maybe we need a new Czar Search…ha ha. Little joke there, We had a soap opera that was called…oh you know that, sorry. Well anyway, I’m concerned that we might have more soap operas, like one’s called “Looking for all my Children” or “Love Barge” if things keep going on like this. Know what I’m sayin…can you help us out here? Did I ask you if you had seen those Abu Gareb pics?

Anyway, you know I stayed out of politics for decades and things just unfolded as they do without my help I am sure. But I did vote this last time, and well, now most of us wonder if if the few of us discarded the votes of the rest of us like we always felt they must do in those third world countries where the outcome is known before the vote is taken. Wow, is that like clarvoyance or something? Can you help us out on this voting thing cause somehow I feel something is going on? I’m feeling if I vote for purple the machine already knows it only likes the pink or the orange votes and won’t listen to me. That’s a third world thing right? Why do me and my friends feel this way? I never felt this way before and I don’t like it. Nome sayin? Ma

I live here in Jesus Land, that’s slang for the…oh you know that, and Jesus says not to say that, and He doesn’t spend as much time here as one might think? Oh, sorry, ok. Well anyway, I don’t feel very safe here at times for speaking up. You know, that feels like 1939. I think I know what some might have been feeling back then. I hope I am wrong.

Anyway, I hope you get my drift. Something is really wrong with the way the few of us have handled the rest of us and how they are treating the others who make up all of us. Oh, Oh….aren’t these a hoot.

“Iraq Is All but Won; Now What?”
    (Los Angeles Times headline, 4/10/03)

“We’re proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who’s physical, who’s not a complicated guy like Clinton or even like Dukakis or Mondale, all those guys, McGovern. They want a guy who’s president. Women like a guy who’s president. Check it out. The women like this war. I think we like having a hero as our president. It’s simple. We’re not like the Brits.”
    (MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, 5/1/03)

“Now that the war in Iraq is all but over, should the people in Hollywood who opposed the president admit they were wrong?”
(Fox News Channel’s Alan Colmes, 4/25/03)

“Well, the hot story of the week is victory…. The Tommy Franks-Don Rumsfeld battle plan, war plan, worked brilliantly, a three-week war with mercifully few American deaths or Iraqi civilian deaths…. There is a lot of work yet to do, but all the naysayers have been humiliated so far…. The final word on this is, hooray.”
(Fox News Channel’s Morton Kondracke, 4/12/03)

Well I could go on with that, but won’t. I don’t care what anyone says, today feels like it felt when I was a kid and Vietnam was being won and getting better and better every day. Anyway, things have kind of changed in the last three years since we won the war and the peace in Iraq and now want to go ahead and win it in Iran too. I hope all of us are listening to the rest of us so most of us don’t end up wishing the few of us had never been born. Could you inspire the few of us to meet with the few of them while the rest of us watch so that they don’t kill all of us with all the peacemaking that is going on.

Well, that’s about it for now. Any suggestions and can you help us out here? I’m going to a memorial service for those Americans killed in Iraq, but I think it’s going to be an annual thing. The first one I went to we lit 2000 candles on a street corner in town and few showed up. Now we are going again to lite around 2500 and some of us hear that the few of them aren’t telling any of us the real numbers. Gosh, I wonder how long it would take to light 100,000 candles or even hundreds of thousands? Yikes, the sun would come up before we got them all lit! Anyway, I don’t enjoy these rather quiet events. Haven’t seen a minister or local politician at one yet.

One person told me their nephew came home from Iraq and hasn’t had a sober day since. Oh well, I can’t do anything about it so that’s why I’m asking you to help us out if you have time. If you have something like an X-Men team or Bat-Angel or Super-Someone you send in such cases, now would be a good time. And I don’t think that you need to bring down the whole planet to get all of us to wake up when most of us are awake and it’s the few of us that all of us feel you need to have a chat with. So can you help us out here. Nome sayin?

Warm Regards from Most of Us who only wish peace, hope, prosperity and understanding for All of Us, not just for a Few of Us.

    Head First

Filed under: The New Age Way — admin at 4:32 pm on Thursday, December 25, 2008

I stepped up to the edge and looked down. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath… and jumped in head first.

The summer I turned 13 was spent at the swimming pool. We swam at a huge olympic size pool with three diving boards at one end, two low dives and one high dive.

I had bragged to my friends that I could execute the perfect swan dive off the high board. Eventually, I was challenged to prove it. No problem. I believed that I could. In my imagination, I saw myself walking to the edge of the board and launching! I believed I could that is until I began to climb the ladder. At the top I realized I had gotten into more than I could just jump out of. It was a lot farther looking down than looking up. I started to back out, but the next kid in line was at the top of the ladder yelling, “It’s my turn!”

I heard the sound of other kids playing safely at ground level. I looked and saw the mocking smiles on the faces of my friends. I took a deep breath and dredged up my courage and jumped in head first.

For a moment, my dive was perfect. Then my feet flipped over my head and I landed with a terrific force in the most awful belly flop you could imagine. The wind was knocked out of me so badly I thought the lifeguard would have to fish me out.

I failed miserably, but I learned something. I learned to keep my big mouth shut. I also learned that sometimes the best way to reach your goals is to jump in head first. I have since learned that when you do accomplish your goals, your successes will affect many lives other than your own.

I read about a head firster recently. Anne and her brother Jim were a brother and sister with big problems. their mother died when they were young. Their alcoholic dad just disappeared. Anne legally blind, was only able to make out blurry shapes. Jim had a tubercular hip and walked with crutches. No one knew what to do with them so they were disposed of at the poorhouse in Tewksbury Massachusetts.

The Tewksbury poorhouse was a repository for human refuse. All the people that society did not have a place for ended up in places like this.

A living nightmare, Tewksbury housed children with the insane, the healthy with the contagious. The food was always bad, often rotten. At night, The rats were in charge.

Anne insisted that she and Jim be together. A wish that was honored until Jim died suddenly in the night. Anne was all alone now. Afraid but sure she could do better.

Her chance for escape came when an investigative committee came to tour the Tewksbury facility in response to rumors of ill treatment and misconduct.

This committee was led by Frank Sanborn. Anne knew that Sanborn could get her out of Tewksbury, if she could just get his attention.

Anne followed the investigators from room to room trying to discern which of them was Sanborn. When the committee ended their tour and was about to leave, Anne still had not identified Sanborn.

Anne literally jumped in head first. She dove into the midst of the entire committee. grabbing hold of skirt hems and pant legs, she pleaded - “I don’t belong here! I want to go to school!”.

Anne’s plea did get Sanborn’s attention. He helped her get out of Tewksbury and into school. 6 years later at the age of 20, Anne graduated from the Perkins School for the blind as the valedictorian of her class. She even received surgery to correct her eyesight.

This could be the end of a happy story, but Anne’s successes extend far beyond her own life. Anne’s habit of jumping in head first was about to help someone else.

Anne received a call requesting that she become the private teacher to a difficult student. She had become quite an innovative educational theorist. Now it was time to exercise her theory’s in real life.

When Anne arrived at the home of her new student, she saw that she did have an incredible challenge before her. As usual, Anne dove in. Working with her new student day and night she was able to pierce the darkness and break through the silence that had held her pupil captive.

The teacher, Annie Sullivan was able to finally reach through and communicate with her student, Helen Keller.

When it is time for you to reach for your dreams, close your eyes, take a deep breath… and jump in head first.

Should You Really Consolidate Student Loans?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 11:34 am on Thursday, December 25, 2008

If you’re pondering whether or not to consolidate student loans, consider this; all college loans have unique attributes, and not all may be perfectly suited for student loan consolidation. Student loan consolidation is, in most cases, an outstanding option for reducing monthly payments, locking in low rates, and earning opportunities to shave money off your loan balance with lender incentives. When you consolidate student loans, you lock in the current interest rate by allowing the lender to repay the entire amount, then repaying the lender free from government interest rate fluctuations.

PLUS Loan - Good Choice for Student Loan Consolidation

Like many college loans, the PLUS loan (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students) is a type of federal loan with a variable interest rate. This means that the monthly payment will change when the government reconfigures the interest rates annually (July 1).

The interest rates on PLUS loans are generally higher than other types of college loans so when interest rates increase, PLUS loans can be greatly affected. Since college loans are consolidated by social security number, parents should apply separately for PLUS loan consolidation.

Perkins Loan - Consider before refinancing

The Perkins loan is a fixed rate loan and has some unique benefits that can be lost with a student loan consolidation. The Perkins loan has a forgiveness program that will waive all or part of the repayment amount if the borrower works in specific occupations that provide a valuable service to the community. Some such eligible occupations are teachers in low income areas, nurses, and medical technicians.

If you’re not eligible for the various loan forgiveness opportunities offered by the Perkins loan, there is still another point to consider. Because the Perkins loan is a fixed rate loan, and because the interest rate on a student loan consolidation is determined by the weighted average of the other loans, you could actually pay a small percentage more on a consolidated Perkins loan over time.

Stafford Loans - Good Choice for Student Loan Consolidation

Stafford loans are the most common loans, and also the most popular type to consolidate. Stafford loans have a variable interest rate like the PLUS loan, making refinancing a smart choice. Loan consolidation can reduce the repayment amount by up to 63% if refinanced through the right lender.

Like the Perkins Loan, the Stafford Loan also offers a few forgiveness programs for those in certain teaching positions and other various public service jobs. Check to see if you’re eligible for any forgiveness programs before applying to consolidate student loans.

Health Professions Student Loan (HPSL) - Consider before refinancing

The HPSL loan for medical professionals is a fixed rate loan like the Perkins Loan. The HPSL comes with certain deferment options that may be lost after consolidation.

The HPSL offers a 3 year deferment period designed to give relief to medical professionals during residency. This deferment option may or may not be lost after consolidation. Those who have HPSL college loans should inquire with various lenders about deferment options.

Direct Loans - Good Choice for Student Loan Consolidation

Some schools offer Direct Loans, meaning that the money given to students comes directly from the federal government, not through a private lender. Borrowers who obtain these college loans must first consolidate through the Direct Loan program, but then have the opportunity to shop around for lower interest rates.
Beginning July 1st 2006, borrowers will face much stricter regulations when consolidating Direct Loans. After the 1st of July, borrowers will only be able to switch lenders if their current lender does not offer a student loan consolidation with an income sensitive repayment plan.

The two most popular types of loans are the Stafford Loan and the PLUS Loan which is the reason it’s so popular to consolidate student loans. Many students acquire a variety of college loans that may not be beneficial to consolidate. Student loans are not all created equal. It’s important to understand the unique qualities of your individual loans and work with your lender to determine the option that is right for you.

Looking Online for a Car Finance Company

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 1:19 pm on Wednesday, December 24, 2008

As the internet has expanded, so have the number of financing options
available to people who are looking to buy a new car. The internet allows a
borrower to compare lenders side-by side, making the process of choosing a
lender much more efficient. This article will offer some tips for consumers who
are looking online for a car finance company:

    Compare Several Lenders
If a borrower has not yet decided on a lender, the internet can be a fantastic
research tool. Surfing the net can result in finding dozens — if not hundreds
    — of lending institutions with attractive interest rates. Some websites are
designed to act as loan brokers — they send one application to several lenders
so that you can compare interest rates. If a person doesn’t want to spend a lot
of time filling out multiple applications, this means of researching loans is
ideal. Additionally, if you are not yet ready to accept a loan, there are
websites which will track interest rates and send automated messages via e-mail
    when rates drop.

    Utilize Online Services
Once a borrower decides on a finance company, utilizing the internet can be as
simple as going to the lender’s website to fill out an application. Some lenders
have the capability of returning an instant decision for internet applications,
    making the process almost effortless.

    Sign Up To Receive Offers

Some lenders offer specials online, which are unadvertised loan interest rates
only available to online applicants. Additionally, some websites will track
interest rates and send you an automated message via e-mail when rates drop.

Shopping for an online car finance company can both save you a lot of time and
ensure that you are getting the best deal possible. This feature is not
available when obtaining financing through a dealership. At a dealership, you
are forced to take whatever loan the dealership’s bank offers.

Are Personal Loans a Good Idea for Me?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 2:16 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2008

Personal loans have exploded in popularity over the last number of years. With UK consumers in more debt now than they ever have been in the past, personal loans are becoming even more popular as more and more people use the to consolidate their existing debts. There are a number of factors that have contributed to the growth of the personal loan market but most can be traced back to the following broad reasons:

A largely healthy economy with high levels of consumer optimism
    Historically low interest rates
    High rates of employment
High rate of house price increases leading to a wealth effect

While all of these have been reasons why people have been opting for more and more personal loans, they are not necessarily good reasons to take out extra credit and it is therefore necessary for each person, before agreeing to go further into debt to ask themselves the following question, is it a good idea for me now to take out a further personal loan?

While it is impossible to answer this question without knowing the precise personal circumstances of each person considering taking out a personal loan, there are certain guidelines that can be used to help you make up your mind. At the end of the day, the decision on whether or not to borrow more money will rest with you yourself and you should have a good perspective of the entire picture before making up your mind.

One thing that is a good help in deciding whether or not to take out a personal loan is simply to ask do you need the loan? This will depend on what you are considering using the loan for and how much you need to borrow. If you are buying a new car or a holiday you should be asking your self do you need the car or holiday? How long will it take you to save up to pay for it without taking a loan? Are there cheaper options or alternatives open to you that would mean you don’t have to take out the loan or that you could take out a loan for a smaller amount? While each individual case will rest on its own merits, it must be the case that a great many loans are taken out each year that are not really needed by the borrower.

Another question to ask yourself is how much will the loan cost and can you afford it? If the interest rates you are being quoted are very high, or if you are already finding it quite difficult to make ends meet, then you may wish to consider alternatives to taking out a loan.

Another aspect of considering a personal loan is to first choose which one suits you best, calculate the total interest to be repaid and go through the small print very carefully. Many loans carry early repayment redemption penalties; these are applied if you want to pay your loan off earlier than the agreed loan term.

    Quick Payday Loans

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 11:33 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2008

These days there are payday loans and then there are quick payday loans and yes, there is a difference. Regular payday loans you either have to submit a check to be cashed on your next payday or have direct deposit, either way they can take up to 24-48 hours to get the money. With a quick payday loan you fill out all of the paperwork online and get the money within a couple of hours.

Most quick payday loans do not require that you fax in things such as paycheck stubs and bank statements. Usually these loan companies will accept much of this information online and then will call your bank or credit union directly for any information they need on your bank statement. These types of payday loans are quick and easy but you still need to beware of the down falls.

First off these quick payday loans are easy and quick, but they often don’t offer a lot of paperwork. If anything were to go wrong with your loan or your ability to pay the loan back, it is hard to contact the loan company. Also many of them are located in other states so just traveling to the main office is not an option. You are literally at the mercy of the internet on these loans.

Second the interest rates on these loans are exceptionally high due to the fact that they are quick payday loans. These loans are considered high risk loans so companies can justify the higher interest rates. The bottom line is that there is a high demand for them so the companies can demand higher interest. It really is about supply and demand when it comes to quick payday loans.

So before you go and try out a quick payday loan do some research. If you can afford to wait 24-48 for a payday loan, then do that. If you can’t, then at least be prepared for a higher interest rate for the convenience of receiving fast cash.
