The Elgordo Lottery Primer

The Elgordo Loteria is part of the Euromillions Euro lotto, but if that’s all you happen to know there’s a great deal more to find out. Boasting payouts that can be as high as 2.6 billion Euros, the lottery offers one of the biggest jackpots on a global scale. And neither is this the lottery’s only claim to fame! With over 13,000 prizes available your chances of winning a prize mean that there’s one winner per six tickets. Pretty good, actually, when compared to the prizes offered by comparable lotteries. There is one draw per month held by the Euromillions Euro lotto. Three months each year play host to bigger draws featuring significantly grander prizes. The bigger draws are scheduled to take place in January, summer, and at Christmas: these are, in order, El Nio, San Ildefonso & Elgordo (which is Spanish for “the Fatso”). Unlike other Euro lottery systems, the Elgordo Lottery uses balls sporting five digits apiece in a range from 00,000 to 84,999. One ball is drawn from each of two bowls; the first bowl indicates the winner, the second the prize value.

Wondering how you enter this drawing? There are two basic choices; first, you can buy a full ticket, called a “serie”. You can also choose the more affordable option known as a “décimo”, valued at one tenth of a full ticket. These tickets have an equal chance to win, although of course their share of the payout varies according to what you spend to begin with. As a result many people playing the Euromillions Euro lotto instead use the e-lottery system.

The e-lottery system promises a prize for everyone who takes part. All you do is buy into the Elgordo Lotto syndicate and you’ll be pooled into teams. With each team numbered between 0 - 9, the last digit on the winning number determines the winning team who will take the money. This money is divided equally among the members. Before the next lottery, the syndicate once again takes subscriptions and the e-lottery continues.

It’s natural to feel some concern as to whether it would be worth sharing the jackpots. What you need to keep in mind is that when the amount being divided is over two and a half billion Euros, a single share works out at a healthy sum of money. With a guaranteed win at every draw, the syndicate is both more affordable and less of a worry as you know you’ll get a return. There just isn’t any more effective way to play…
